Monarch Festival Report, St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge – Saturday, October 24, 2015
Our chapter had a booth near the butterfly garden at Picnic Pond during the annual Monarch Festival that is held at St. Marks. We had a good steady stream of visitors to our booth on a beautiful fall day. Of special interest to many was a new educational display board put together by David that showed common butterflies by habitat. The first three habitats are mesic flatwoods, ruderal, and upland hardwood forests. A special thanks to David for putting this together in a timely manner for the Monarch Festival!
A special thanks to Virginia, David, Dean, Sally, Karen, Travis, and Jeff for greeting Monarch Festival attendees and telling them about our Hairstreak Chapter.
